My favourite YouTubers

Hello beautiful you! Are you having a good day?

Today I want to share my favourite Youtubers. Thanks to Youtube I started to learn about makeup in 2008. Many people are asking me if I started to like makeup because of my mother. No! 😀 My mother never uses makeup, so I found out about makeup on my own through the world wide web. Since I’m little I’ve always been passionate about art, so makeup was a whole new world of art I wanted to discover.

Lindy Tsang aka Bubzbeauty was the first Youtuber I’ve watched! She is the reason why makeup has fascinated me so much back then. Since 2008 Bubzbeauty has been my all time favourite youtuber.
She is such an inspiration, wise and warm hearted person. I’ve become more interested in her inspirational vlogs, paintings than her beauty videos.
She is my favourite youtuber for being such a positive person.
Bubzbeauty has a place in my heart.

EatYourKimchi  make videos about Kpop, Korean Food, Traveling in Korea, and Korean Indie Music. Simon and Martina are from Canada living in South Korea.
They’re really funny, humorous people. I laugh alot while watching their videos. My favourite category is WTF (wonderful treasure found)!
I like having variety when watching videos.

Zoella is a beauty guru from the UK. I just love watching her because of her charisma!
She has become one of the most influential persons in the UK. I really respect her for her hard work!
I’m not watching all of her videos. I think I’m most interested in her Haul videos.

Madeulook by Lex & Madeyewlook Twice

Okay! My absolute absolute favourite youtuber is Alexis aka Madeyewlook!!!
Lex makes so creative looks. She mostly works with bodypaint.
She is one of the best artist I’ve seen on youtube and one of the most talented women out there.
After watching a few videos of her I already knew she is exactly my style.
Beauty videos have become really boring to me. That’s why she is my favourite.
I love makeup looks that are extravagant, outstanding, creative and unique.
Madeulook makes exact the videos that I want to see and not making me bored.

Much Love

All about Blush / Rouge

Hello again beautiful you~!

I apologize in advance for making grammar mistakes.
English is not my first language.

This time I’m going to talk about BLUSH! I want to share my knowledge about makeup and I thought writing about blush is a good start since blush is a very easy product.

All pictures I used are from pinterest!

I’m going to talk about three different blush types. Powder blush, creme blush and terracotta blush. How you can contour with blush and other information.

Powder blush is applied only to completely low-fat skin, so powdered skin, since it can be applied streak-free only on this basis.

Powder blush is applied with a blush brush. Using the brush several times over the color stone, then tap off the excess on the back of the hand. Because removing superfluous blush again is almost impossible without damaging the foundation.
Apply the blush with light hand, without pressure  in the appropriate place.

Never apply blush into the hairline! Always 1-2 fingers stay away from it. It is better to first apply a very thin layer and then intensify if necessary. It should be soft and shapeless in any case and leave no visible mark.

For a most natural look apply the blush delicate on the well-perfused naturally places.

Creme blush is applied only on non-powdered skin, otherwise it would shine spotty and greasy on the matte skin when applied.

You can use a strippling brush  or your fingers.

If you work with clients you have to take a portion creme blush with a spatula first and then work either with fingers or with a brush.

Pat with fingertips on the skin and gently spread. If the creme blush paste is too thick, it can be easily blend with a fine-pored sponge.

Creme blush looks the most natural applied on tinted day cream.

This powder from ground clay is an ideal freshener for a sporty, tanned complexion. You can use it instead of rouge to emphasize a slight tan, or instead foundation to intensify tanned skin, if the color is to appear fuller.

Blush with glitter particles act on the day unnatural.
Blush with glitter particles should be the evening reserved.

Contouring with blush

☆⌒ you can change faces shapes with darker blush by shading.
☆⌒ a large, wide face gets more contour when applying a dark blush shade around the face, (temples, cheeks outer section) back up to the chin.
☆⌒ dark rouge under the cheekbones makes the face look more slim  and gives the face a more distinctive shape.
☆⌒ a very long face can be shortened optical, if you set the blush horizontally on the cheekbone.
☆⌒ with a dark blush swab on the tip of the nose, a long nose can visually be shorten.
☆⌒ an effect of freshness on the face is obtained by lighter tones (apricot, rose) on the cheekbone.
☆⌒ when accidentally applied too much powder blush it can be soften with powder.

Choice of blush color

The choice of color is based on the shade of red of blood vessels. It depends how the shade shines through the skin.

☆⌒ light rosy skin fit bluish tones, cool tones, ranging from rose to pink.
☆⌒ skin, which goes into more yellowish, olive tones, take fairly warm colors of apricot to brown.

Other information

Lipsticks should never be used as a blush, as the skin temperature separates the color and caring agents!!

Shiny blushes emphasizes the fullness of a round face unnecessary! It is better to contour the face slimmer with matte, dark tones.

Rouge and lip color should always come from a family of colors.

Much love ♥

리뷰 – SKIN FOOD Black Sugar Mask wash off 스킨푸드 블랙 슈가 마스크 워시 오프

Hello beautiful you!

Today I’m going to be talking about a korean facial mask. It’s the amazing SKIN FOOD Black Sugar Mask. I’m using this mask now for almost two years. A korean friend sent me a sample of this back then and I was so impressed by it that I had to buy the full size.

” A mask that contains mineral-enriched Brazilian black sugar and promotes smooth, glowing skin.”

The mask is packaged in a plastic jar and does not come with a spatula. The package won’t break if you drop it. It has a solid consistency. The good thing about that is that the mask won’t spill out! Plus it has english translation of the korean instructions.

The mask had a safety seal so that you know it hasn’t been opened.
It’s like a peeling mask because of the sugar in it. I love to massage this mask into my face! When I first used the sample I was so impressed because you feel the result right after the first time! The packaging says it promotes smooth, glowing skin. And this is right. I never had so smooth skin.
Leave the mask for 10~15 minutes and rinse it off with lukewarm water.

But I have to say that I got pimples several times after using this mask. So there was a time I didn’t dare to use this mask. However I wanted smooth and glowing skin I could not resist using it anyway. And fortunately my skin doesn’t get pimples anymore after using this mask.

What I love:
☆⌒ smooth and glowing skin
☆⌒ nice scent
☆⌒ skin feels super clean
☆⌒ inexpensive product

What I don’t love:
☆⌒ having no spatula

Final Thoughts:
I really love this mask! Although my skin wasn’t reacting well at the beginning I still loved how smooth and glowing my skin was anyway. Definitely one of the best products I own. I’m using this mask now for almost two years and will happily use it forever. maybe?

Book Review: Kevyn Aucoin – Making Faces

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen~~

I’m back with a review this time!
Today I’m going to be reviewing the book Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin.
Kevyn Aucoin’s story is compelling and inspiring.
“There are no rules when it comes to makeup.” – Kevyn Aucoin (i totally agree)

“America’s #1 beauty book”

I’m going to start with the content.
The book provides:
recommended utensils, different types of foundation, concealer, powder, shading and highlighting, cosmetic surgery, correcting eyebrows (covering, bleaching), finishing touches, different lip shapes, shadow shapes ….. the list goes on!

The book has  gorgeous brimming pictures in it! Beautiful!
I’m also impressed that the book has such a positive attitude.
What I really love about this book is the Before & After section!
Amazing how you can change people with makeup, light, shadows and with the camera.

The book focuses on color, mood, and the art of makeup.

I’m the type of human being anyway, going shopping with smokey eyes or cat eyes. With every look I feel like wearing. I always wear eyleliner, mascara and eyeshadow.
There are lots of people who only want to wear “invisible makeup”, so that could be a reason why many people disliking this book.

It’s not a book for people who don’t know how to apply makeup. It’s not for those who want to learn about colors, face shapes, eye shapes … and so on.
This book is made for people who know all the basics, people who already know how to work with colors, different shapes and everything. For people who are passionate and seriouse with make-up.

There are great makeup ideas in this book too! Sooo great looks!
Like the Vamp, the Siren, the Diva, the Sophisticate and so on  accompanied with lots of great pictures.

If you are obsessed with make-up this is a book to add to your collection.
It is totally recommend to you!
I love love love it

i’m now officially a licensed makeup artist 성공!

Hello Ladies~~

Today (and yesterday) I had my FINAL EXAMINATION and now I’m officially a Makeup Artist! I successfully passed my exam with the best performance today. yaaay 성공!!

I really want to show you my artist portfolio but I want to do it slowly and dramatic :p Plus I’m still waiting for the photograph to finish the photos from the shootings.

In the future I want to post about my makeup artist journey, I hope it’ll be good. ㅋㅋㅋ Time goes by sooo fast! 시간이 빨리 가는군요.

Youtube played a big role in my decision of becoming a makeup artist. I love watching youtube videos!! However I realized that so many Youtube Beauty Gurus (and other platforms) tell you wrong things about makeup, applying makeup and so on. So I thought writing a post about thruths and myths when it comes to beauty gurus. I’m not offending the beauty gurus out there ! 🙂 it’s just what I saw on the internet.
That’s exactly what I don’t like about the internet! People tell you things about stuff that’s so not right and they possibly know it’s wrong. How can they ‘teach’ people who aren’t sure about it either. Especially when it comes to skin care or hair care. It could damage other people’s skin or hair.

Howsoever I have a great photo for you today!! It’s from a photoshooting two weeks ago and the theme was Black Swan.

Makeup: my colleagues and I Hair: my colleagues and I Photo: Juergen Freymann

So beautiful women!! It was a superduper awesome day.
Thanks to the models, my colleagues and the photographer!!!
I’m so grateful that I got to know these people.

17 Random Questions Tag

Hey everyone~ It’s  been a long time right!
I am not yet into blogging-mode.. And everytime I read blogs I think: I could have blogged about that too!! :’D
I have two important exams next week so I’m busy with studiyng and sooo stressed.
Last week I worked for 50 hours in 6 days!! Being a Makeup Artist is a hard but fun job ^^ Can’t wait to show you some of my artist works 😀

Now to the tag. I saw this tag on Dorkshops and it looks so much fun! I think I’ve done one tag so far. Everyone can take these questions and do their version of it.

1. How did you get your blog username?
My name HanMiso was made many years ago before I started blogging.
A korean friend of me gave me the name Miso (which means ‘smile’) because she always smiled while chatting with me. I wanted to add something to that and it was ‘Han’ which is a short form of ‘hana’. (native korean for one). So ‘Hanmiso’ basically means OneSmile ^^ And now this is my online name.

2. If you could change your name to anything, what would it be and why?
I wouldn’t want to change my name =) I really like my name cause it sounds feminine and elegant (in my opinion). Plus I don’t know any person in real life with the same name =P

3. If you could go back and give your younger self advice, what would it be and why?
I would say to my younger self that everything will turn out well and that being happy makes everything so much easier! Most important that making mistakes is okay! You learn so much of them.
And of course stop wearing the wrong foundation shade and remove that black glitter eyeliner under your eyes!!!

4. How old were you when you first learned how to blow a bubblegum bubble?
oh. I can’t remember me not being able to blow a bubblegum bubble 😀 Really I cannot remember, it’s like I was born with a bubblegum bubble.

5. What did you want to be when you were little?
I remember that I wanted to be a veterinarian or an astrophysicist. Until I realized I am soo bad at math and phyics

6. What do you order at Starbucks?
I never go to Starbucks. I love tea! Tea tea tea. And I don’t really know what you can order in Starbucks…. But I would order either something with tea or mango!!

7. When’s the hardest you’ve ever laughed?
Wow. I don’t know. I’m a very quiet laugher. haha But there are many times I laugh hard (but quiet =P). Most of the time because I have very humorous, sarcastic and funny friends 😀 Of course I’m funny too.

8. If you could play any musical instrument, what would it be and why?
I’m playing the guitar since I’m 7 years old. So I really would like to play the violine, piano or cello! I also like the sound of saxophone. Because I love music.

9. What’s your favourite thing to do when your upset?
This or that.. Hard question cause I’m not a person who is upset. I think it would be having fun with friends, playing video games or watching videos. I would not talk about the thing that makes me upset.

10. What’s your favourite movie?
There are many good movies! The first movie I think about now is the chinese movie ‘Ip Man’! I love it =)

11. What’s one food you can’t live without?
Shrimps/Prawns!!!! And Couscous. One food… Out of the two it would be shrimps I can’t live without.

12. What is your favourite dessert?
Hard questions. I’m not a fan of sweet food. My answer would be anything that has mango in it. But please without whipped cream!!!

13. Favourite pizza topping?
Everything that’s spicy!! With tomatos and cheese.

14. Would you rather have the super power to read minds or to become invisible?
Becoming invisible!! That would be so cool.
Reading minds is not cool. It’s none of my business what other people are thinking!

15. What did you do last for your birthday?
I was eating in an italian restutant with my friends. After that we watched a horror movie.
I can not  really remember 이상하네..

16. If you could have one personal “selfish” wish, what would it be?
Wooow. I think that would be getting anything , anything I want for free. Like cars, makeup blablabla. Oh that’s so materialistic :O I’m happy to not have this wish. ^^ it’s not my moral.

17. If you were a pokemon, what would you look like? And what would you be called?
hmm. I would be called Miso and would have the power to hypnotize my enemies with my smile! I’d probably look like a small , pale , homey somthing.

Haul – Shades of pink + Nails of the day

Hello Ladies!

Today I am going to show you some products I bought last friday.
My Make Up Artist colleagues wanted to go to the store Shades of Pink sooo bad :p . It’s the only shop in Berlin that sells the brands Sleek, The Balm, MeMeMe and other UK brands!! I fell in love with this shop 😀

What I bought:

☆⌒ China Glaze – The Outer Edge , The Giver Limited Edition
☆⌒ Barry M Textured Nail Effect – Duchess 338
☆⌒ Sleek – Volume & Curl Mascara (brown)
☆⌒ Sleek – True Color Lipstick – Baby Doll
☆⌒ Sleek – True Color Lipstick – Liqueur
☆⌒ Sleek – Contour & Highlighter Kit – Light
☆⌒ MeMeMe – Flawless Finish Face Powder (compact) – Natural
☆⌒ Mini China Glaze Nail Polish  – White on white (i got this as a gift from the beautiful seller)

These days I’m into soft, nude lip colors and these two lipstick were the first I held in my hand :p
The Baby Doll lipstick is a soft, light pink tone and perfect for a girl next door look.
I personally wouldn’t apply too much of this color, since is really light ^^
The Liqueur lipstick is such a beautiful nude color!! I love it. Perfect for everyday make up.

There is one product I would not recommend to you! 😦 It’s the Sleek Volume & Curl Mascara.
The product was really dry and didn’t got me volume to my lashes. I don’t think I will use it again. Maybe it was this one mascara and I just picked the wrong one haha However these are my experiences.

Since you liked my previous post with my nail designs so much, I have a Nail Of The Day picture for you 😀

What’s on my nails:

☆⌒ China Glaze – The Outer Edge
☆⌒ Barry M Textured Nail Effect (on my ring finger)
☆⌒ China Glaze – White on white
I have to say that I was really disappointed of the white on white nail polish. This product was really watery and a bit transparent. It was not easy to apply this. 😦
☆⌒ some rhinestones

Except the Sleek Mascara and the China Glaze White on White,
the other products are recommend to you~~

리뷰: Innisfree Green Tea Sleeping Pack 이니스프리 그린티 슬리핑 팩

Today I’m going to talk about a korean skincare product.
It’s the Innisfree Green Tea Sleeping pack. I own 80mL (ebay)

‘Enriched with squeezed green tea and green complex from the pure jeju island to deliver abundant moisture and nourishment deep into your skin’

Side note: Jeju Island is part of South Korea.
Innisfree is  inexpensive

So this sleeping pack (and other sleeping packs) are just thick moisturizers that you wear when you go to sleep and wash off the remaining mask the next morning.
It gives you deep moisture over night.
This is the first sleeping pack I own so I can not compare it with others.

The consistency is like a milky lotion with little vitamin E capsules.
The scent is a bit strong I think. So the fragrance might be strong for some. I won’t say it smells like green tea. I can’t trust my sense of smell…
However I have no problems with the scent.

I apologize for not having the ingredients list for you ㅠ.ㅠ 죄송합니다.용서해줘요~~

I read other people’s review about this product and they said it’s for oily skin. However I have dry skin and it works good for me! My skin feels so soft and smooth the next day which is a good basis for make up too. Plus I feel that my skin absorbed the moisturizer completely. That’s good!!  There is one bad point: Sometimes it starts to itch a little bit.

Some of you might not like the jar packing. It’s understandable since it’s inconvenient.
But I am okay with it but it would be better with a spatula though. ^^

What I love:
☆⌒ it’s very soothing
☆⌒ skin absorbs it completely
☆⌒ i like the scent
☆⌒ moisturizing
☆⌒ does not feel thick

What I don’t love:
☆⌒ there is no spatula
☆⌒ gets itchy sometimes

Final thoughts:
Since my skin reacts well with this product (no break out) it’s a good one for me. Remember that every skin is unique and different.
I’m using it every other day. I will happily use this until it’s fully empty ^^ Either I’ll buy one from another brand or get the same one again. And of course I would like to try Laneige’s sleeping packs.

Have you tried out sleeping packs? I want to know your opinions~

끝! 다음에 또 봐요~ ♥ hanmiso

P.S. sorry for my bad writing ㅠ.ㅠ See ya
